Opportunities for Collaborative Research at the Clinical Center (U01)

How to Apply

Applying for a Collaborative U01 award is a two-step process. The first step, using either the X02 pre-application (preferred) or the alternate process of providing the same information via an email request, is needed to obtain two Letters of Support (LOS). One LOS will be from the NIH Clinical Center and will indicate that there are adequate resources available to support your project. The second LOS will be from the NIH Institute that is expected to accept the U01 application and will indicate that the work outlined in the proposal aligns with their research mission. These LOS are required in order to complete the second step, the submission of a U01 application, and U01 applications that fail to include these two letters will not be accepted for review.
