About the Opportunity

Opportunities for Collaborative Research at the Clinical Center (U01) PAR-26-116

The Office of Clinical Research Education and Collaboration Outreach's Collaborative Research program is intended to foster collaborations between extramural (non-NIH) and NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP) investigators using the U01 Collaborative Agreement mechanism to take advantage of the unique resources and patient populations available at the NIH Clinical Center. It is also intended to increase utilization of the NIH Clinical Center. While some study participants may be seen at extramural sites, other study subjects must be seen at NIH. Studies that only plan on utilizing banked specimens or data will not be considered for funding.

Project budgets are limited to $500,000 per year in direct costs for up to four years. A fifth year can be requested, where the first year is focused on planning activities, with a commensurately smaller budget for year 1.

Goal

The goal of the Collaborative Research program is to foster collaborations between NIH intramural investigators (IRP) and the extramural (non-NIH) research community, allowing greater access to NIH's unique resources and patient populations and increasing utilization of the NIH Clinical Center.
