Opportunities for Collaborative Research with the NIH Intramural Research Program (U01) PAR-28-045
OCRECO's Collaborative Research Program supports partnerships between researchers outside NIH and investigators in the NIH Intramural Research Program (NIH IRP). The program uses the U01 cooperative agreement to help research teams use NIH's specialized resources and patient populations. It also aims to enroll more new participants in NIH IRP research protocols.
Some study activities may take place at non-NIH sites, but at least part of the clinical research must be conducted at NIH. Projects that use only existing specimens or data will not be considered for funding.
Applicants may request up to $500,000 per year in direct costs for up to four years. A fifth year may be requested when the first year is used for planning and regulatory approvals. The first-year budget should be lower to reflect the limited planning activities.
Goal
The goal of the Collaborative Research program is to build partnerships between NIH intramural investigators and the extramural research community. These partnerships expand access to NIH's unique research resources and patient populations and increase participation in NIH IRP protocols.
